Hundred Chips Backups
Hundred Chips Backups is an operator utility for storing encrypted recovery files in Google Drive.
The connection has been tested with a synthetic encrypted file. Scheduled database backups are not running.
Privacy
The utility requests access to files it creates or that the Google account owner explicitly selects for it. It uses that access to upload encrypted archives, download them for verification or recovery, and manage their retention.
Archives are encrypted before upload. The decryption key is kept separately from Google Drive. File names, sizes and upload times are visible to Google Drive.
Connection credentials are stored privately on the operator's computer, outside source control. An unattended hosting service would also need connection credentials before running backups there.
Google processes the stored files and connection information to provide Drive. The utility does not sell Drive data or use it for advertising. Its access is used for backup and recovery operations.
The account owner can revoke access in Google Account connections. Revocation stops future access through that connection. Files already created remain in Drive until the owner removes them or an authorized retention job deletes them.
